Recovery of Treated Water
Making wastewater part of circular water management
- Primary use
- Irrigation and landscape
- Determining condition
- Regulation and disinfection
- Decision stage
- At the start of design

We assess the potential for reusing treated water in irrigation, landscaping, cistern supply or other technical needs, within the framework of regulations, quality criteria and project design.
Reuse is not an option bolted on at the end of treatment; it is a decision that must be made at the start of design. When it is defined from the outset where the water will be used, the required treatment stage, storage and distribution infrastructure are sized correctly.
In our work we first determine the target use scenario and the effluent quality it requires. We then add the necessary advanced treatment and disinfection stages, monitoring points and operating rules to the project scope.
Using treated water in agriculture, in toilet cisterns or in other areas depends on local regulations, project design and the required disinfection conditions; these conditions are examined separately in every project.
The work we take on in this area
The items below show the typical scope of this business area. Depending on the project, some may remain with the client's own team; the scope boundary is clearly defined before the contract.
- Defining the reuse scenario and the target water quality
- Planning advanced treatment and disinfection stages
- Designing irrigation, landscape and technical-use infrastructure
- Sizing storage, transmission and distribution solutions
- Establishing monitoring points and a sampling plan
- Technical support for regulatory and permit processes
