System O)) and HydroBioX are passive wastewater treatment solutions developed for projects where there is no central sewerage infrastructure or where on-site treatment is required.

Working on the principle of biological treatment, these systems reduce the need for electricity, complex mechanical equipment and continuous chemical use, helping domestic wastewater to be treated in an environmentally sensitive way and put back to use under suitable conditions.

With solutions that can be engineered for needs ranging from single homes to communal living areas, and from tourism facilities to rural settlements, we aim to turn water from a waste stream into a reusable resource.

Shared Principles

What does passive treatment mean?

In passive treatment, the process is carried out not by energy and mechanical equipment, but by the biological process that develops within the filter media. The four fundamental attributes that define the systems in our portfolio are as follows.

Electricity-free operation

Both systems carry out treatment without an electrical connection; they can be applied in off-grid settlements too.

No mechanical equipment

There are no moving components such as pumps, fans or control panels. The number of parts that can fail is minimized.

Without continuous chemical use

Both systems are designed to carry out treatment without continuous chemical dosing; solids accumulating in the pre-treatment unit are emptied periodically.

A focus on reuse

When a suitable treatment level is achieved and quality criteria are met, the effluent can be put to use rather than being a waste to be discharged.
