Overview

We carry out the water-well process holistically, from geological and geophysical assessment to drilling, and from well completion to pump selection. A well drilled in the wrong place is the most expensive well.

Water drilling in Türkiye is technical work that must be planned according to the region's geological structure, aquifer depth and legal permit processes. From the thick alluvium and volcanic units of Central Anatolia to the karstic structures of the Aegean, and from the limestone formations of the South-East to the narrow aquifer sections of the Black Sea, every region requires a different drilling method, different well completion and a different well depth.

Our work begins with a site survey and geophysical measurement; the well location, projected depth and expected yield are determined from this data. During drilling, formation records are kept, a well log is produced, and the completion plan is finalized according to the structure verified on site.

Once the well is complete, development, cleaning, a yield (pumping) test and water quality analysis are carried out; a suitable pump and transmission solution is selected on the basis of the results. Well drilling activities are performed with the permit and license processes conducted under the relevant regulations.

The work we take on in this area

The items below show the typical scope of this business area. Depending on the project, some may remain with the client's own team; the scope boundary is clearly defined before the contract.

  • Geological and geophysical site survey, well siting
  • Technical management of permit and license processes
  • Drilling works and formation (well log) records
  • Well completion, gravel packing and development works
  • Yield (pumping) test and water quality analysis
  • Pump selection, transmission line and storage solution
